Mont Saint Michel - city amongst sea

"masterpiece of nature, standing amongst heaven and earth, among land and sea, where tides are altering as quickly as the galloping horse" - as Victor Igo described this outstanding city with remarkable Roman architecture. Mont Saint Michel (Mount St. Mikhail) is a modest town on the rocky island, 1 km from the northern coast of France, at the mouth of the Couesnon River in the Basse-Normandie area.

The building began back in the year 709. In the year 1874 Mont Saint Michel explained in a historic monument and is beneath the protection of UNESCO. The population of about 41 inhabitants and most of them are priests.

Its occurrence is a legend that says that Archangel Michael Bishop Abert seemed to say, connected to construct a monastery on the rock. He has regularly ignored this his vision, till Michael burned his head with his finger. , That was the moment when I decided to build this stunning city
